I recently finished watching the documentary, David Sutherland's Country Boys on PBS. It's 6 hours long and spans 3 years, following the lives of two boys in a small town in Kentucky.
It's probably the best documentary I've watched in a long long time. I highly recommend you try and see it if you can.

I caught a little bit of this one. Another I highly recommend is "Troublesome Creek: A Midwestern"
I's a doc about he plight of the the filmaker's farmer parents and the fall of independent farmers to corporations. Eye-opening and disconcerting. |
