Don't know about civilian stuff but these are the sites I use for military reference:

This is good resource for airplanes http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/

This is good for all the rest: http://www.army-technology.com/projects/

at the end of each page there's button called "specifications", it has tons of data: dimensions, etc

If there's no schematic views for that particular vehicle you can try searching by it's mark on http://images.google.com (for example "T-90")
