Hello, I dont think I have ever posted on here, but I've been a member for quite a while, and I've been looking at everyone's art here for a long time. There's a lot of great artists on here, and I just wanted to thank everyone who posts on here for the eye candy and inspiration.

Anyway, to my question; I use photoshop cs to draw, and it has problems with wacom tablets. I guess you can't have smoothing or spattering on for your brush shape or it will freeze from time to time. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change brush tip shape presets permanently. I always have problems cause I'll forget to turn it off and i'll work for like 30 minutes or so and it will freeze. I've just been dealing with it till now, but I've exhausted all my ideas for resources, and I'm tired of getting into a drawing and having to start over...so I figured I would ask on here, since I am sure alot of people have more experience on the program than I do. Any ideas would be incredibly helpful and appreciated, and hopefully I'll be proud enough of something soon that I can post some art on here =)

Not sure how to solve your FREEZE problem... someone else may have a thing or two to try... but I would like to suggest that you press CTRL S often... it saves your work so when the next FREEZE happens you haven't lost 30 minutes of work. In your current situation, you should be pressing CTRL S every few minutes, if not more.

On my system, everything works fine and I still press CTRL S whenever I pause for whatever reason. It's an auto reflex now. In fact, there have been times when the occasional freeze has happened... and I'm totally delighted to find that I've just lost a few seconds of work. Press CTRL S OFTEN!

I use windows xp, small image cause i am working on a border for a website i am making. Nothing print quality or anything. I know why it's freezing, cause in photoshop CS if you use a wacom tablet the program will freeze with multiple brush strokes if you have smoothing or spattering turned on in brush tip shape settings. It have no problems if i turn it off, the problem is I just forget sometimes (or i'll remember to turn off on my brush, but then get to drawing and have it freeze when i try to erase cause i forgot to turn that off.) That's why i wanted to know if anyone knew how to turn it off permanently, so I dont have to worry about it when photoshop starts..
