Alright, I've been working on a Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass Gallery, but I feel like something is missing from the images, or doesn't flow quite right... Please be critical so I can make adjustments. Heres the two that are nearly done.

I would say that the weakest link is the figure drawing. In the first picture, I would focus on fixing the face and breasts, and in the second, the neck twist looks unnatural, as in- her neck looks broken. Also, the hair could use some work.
If you don't have much time, focus on getting the face and neck areas more natural in both pics.
The other aspects of the picture are decently consistent with one another and well rendered imo. Are they 3d modeled or painted? Looks to me like a mix of digi painting, modleing and photo manip, but I'm not sure. |

I photographed a model for the poses, I will check the overlays to make sure I didn't some how alter the neck/head positions, but I'm sure they are right on (anatomically speaking<sp>)... What do you mean "fix" the face and breats...? thats pretty vague. |

FallDamage was trying to be polite. But apparently that wasn't the right approach.
You can honestly sit back and look at these pictures and truly believe that the anatomy is correct? If so, you really need to reconsider your chosen career path.
Her face looks like it was run over by a dump truck. Her left eye is about 4 inches higher than her right. Her neck is as thick as a tree trunk. Her nose is crooked. She seems to have no cheekbones to speak of. Her right leg is about 4 times longer than her left. She looks like an android that was put together improperly. "She" looks like she eats children in her spare time.
Apparently you aren't very receptive to people's advice. This has undoubtedly led to the rather harsh tone of my post. Lose the ego. It isn't warranted. |

Ouch Scarface, reminds me of the "stop art and die" days.
D, even though the exact profile may be templated on a model, the final rendering doesn't convey a natural pose and look, imo. As illustraters, we aren't present to argue with our viewers, so our end product really has to speak for itself. I just feel that the rendering doesn't adequetly reflect the pose you are probably picturing in your mind. For really nice results, you really need to study, interpret and reconstruct a figure drawing (or anything, really), not copy it based upon a template.
Again, all this is imo (and scarface's too, now), so you can take it or leave it. I've got some serious figure drawing work to do myself, so I feel the pain of populating my environments with less than stellar people. |

Do not confuse straight forward questioning with ego, Scarface. If I need to sugarcoat the way I speak to you, then I will do so. I am merely asking for specifics related to a vague response... I can handle critique such as yours, and thank you for being specific, I now have a whole list of things to re-evaluate and fix... or start over. |
