I just got Photoshop cs 2 and I have noticed a lack of quality...

I have photoshop cs on my laptop, and it does not do this,...

Example..



Everything looks pixelated when I use my wacom tablet.. everything used to look smooth. I make the pictures 1600x1200 resolution is anywhere from 72 to 150.. I even tried 750. It doen't make the pixel proble any better. Ohter images look fine.. only new drawing from the wacom look this bad..

any ideas?

Have you tried out using your mouse? I don't see how the tablet has anything to do with image quality, as far as I know that's strictly a program issue, not a driver issue.

The resolution setting controls physical size when an image is printed. It really has no meaning when you are actually drawing or painting on your computer. When drawing or painting, it is the width and height in pixels that determine the amount of pixilation that will be apparent. Also the hardness of the brushes being used. At widths/heights in the range 1200 to 1600 range, you will notice pixilation if using hard rather than soft edged brushes. At higher widths/ranges - say in the 3000 to 4000 range - hard brushes will not show apparent pixilation when an image is shown or printed at full size.

more on resolurtion: A 1200 x 1600 image printed at a resolution of 300 ppi makes a picture 3 x 4 inches in size. The same image with the same width and height set to 72 ppi and printed makes a picture about 16 x 22 inches. In the 300 ppi picture, pixelation will not be apparent, but it will in the 72 ppi picture.
