Wonderful painting. I love the composition. I remember this flying thing on the poster from another image you did a while ago.
Could you tell us more about your "Somnio" project? Is it an illustrated story of some kind?

Thanks guys, glad you like it. I'm working on my personal project, which is a combination of art book and novel. I won't disclose any details at this point other than I've been working on it for a few years. Unfortunately nothing I an commit to every day sort of thing, it's just there in the back of my mind, bugging me. Would like to spend more time on it, but as it's a personal thing it has to be done outside work. Think sketch/artbook. Not so much comic book, more in the lines of a novel with images.

Max> I hope this explains a little bit more. Sorry for the lack of details, but I am thinking seriously about gettign the project published sometime n the future. (Around the time when we've got personal teleporters and world peace is a reality).

Annisahmad> It's all painted in Photoshop, nothing else is used.

Henrik,

I really like this one, thanks for sharing. The creature drawing at the top reminds me of a Siltstrider or netch from Morrowind.

It looks like a shrine to a Lovecraftian monster! Very mysterious.

awesome work. how long does one of these take for you? and when u say its all painted in PS do u mean you're not using texture overlays at all, just custom brushes? in any case, you might want to tweak those a bit where they overlap like the wooden frame to the left, it seems they overlap all different kinds of materials which makes it look rather flat in that area. but in the context its a ridiculously small thing, well done.

These are quite big in resolution, so they do take quite some time to finish. I assume they would look relatively fine on an A3 page. They take a few days, maybe 3 or so, but are never done in one sitting. I tend to work on them for weeks, but only an hour or so at a time. All textures are painted, not from photo overlays.
