Go to the rRootage Homepage and download the game rRootage!!
one phrase, "Curtains of Bullets". This game goes in the genre of Raiden Project, R-Type, Ikaruga and other flying scroller games with way too many things flying at you.
I'm on level 2R right now and sofar it's still pretty easy. I attempted to play one of the higher levels and got my ass slaughtered pretty quick. In the later levels not only are there more bullets flying around on screen but they move faster and more erratically.

rRootage is an abstract scrolling shooter game created by Kenta Cho. The game features four modes, each one based on a different shooter which is probably how the game received its name.
[edit]
Modes
* Normal Mode: This mode is based on pretty much EVERY shooter ever made. The player has three bombs that cause the enemy's bullets to dissolve. The ship also slows down while firing its beam.
* PSY Mode: Based on the game Psyvariar, this mode is probably the oddest of all four of them. First off, the player gets powered by scratching enemy projectiles, the player moves at a slower speed while firing and when the player's powerbar is full, the player's ship becomes invincible for a short amount of time. The player can also spin the ship which causes the area around the ship where bullets are scratched to increase, but the ship slows down.
* IKA Mode: Based on the game Ikaruga, this mode allows the player to switch between white and black. While white, white projectiles reflect at the enemy, and vice versa with black.
* GW Mode: Based on the game Giga Wing, this mode gives the player a shield that reflects shots fired by the enemy and protects the player, but it has a lengthy charge time.
The game has the player fight a large boss. The boss changes form each stage, and there are five stages for each of fourty levels per game mode. Stages cannot be played seperately, but any level in any mode may be played without playing the lower-sequenced levels. |

My goodness I love this game- It's taken hours from me.
On Ikaruga mode, I'm up to 8B, starting top left and going left to right, down one row, left to right, etc. Usually when I finally beat especially hard levels I have 2 or 3 lives left- I guess eventually everything just clicks. _________________ Self-pity and modesty get you nowhere |
