Does anybody know how to increase/decrease brush size in English/US version of PS with German keyboard layout? It's supposed to be just "]" or "[" key, but you must press Alt+Ctrl+9/8 to reach these symbols. It means you actualy choose either color picker or selection tool and stop at this point. Or maybe I misunderstand anything?

I have the same problem with Swedish keyboards as they have our three extra (aa), (ae), (oe) keys. I reconfigure the keys in PS to , and . which solves it. Put them on any easy to access keys with your left hand I guess.
There's probably a better solution but whatever gets the job done and fast hehe. No more breaking fingers with ctrl+alt+shift+something else hehe.

It is indeed same key combo in Sweden, but you can also access it under the Edit menu -> keyboard Shortcuts

This should present you with a window titled keyboard shortcuts and divided into a lot of subcategories. The first thing I would do is create a set that is yours. BenKeys or something. This way you don't have to worry about the default keys. Just load them should something go wrong and you're good to go or start fresh.

Second I would like to point you to the dropdown Shortcuts For: Application menus, Palette menus, Tools

The rest is just a matter of configuring the keys the way you want them. While you're doing this it's nice to set up some hotkeys for Flip Horizonal, Zoom In, Zoom out which I think are also in horrid locations default. I rarely reconfigure the tool defaults because I don't want to feel strange when having to use another computer elsewhere etc.

Thanks, MCMA and B0b

I really don't have any keyboard Shortcuts options under Edit menu. Looks like we have different PS versions. I have PS7.

Anyway thanks a lot.
