I have the "official" Vangelis: Bladerunner release (with all the 'inspired by' tracks), the ultra-crappy orchestral version that was the only one available for awhile, and a bootleg(on pic, 2nd row down, 3rd from left.)
With the exception that the bootleg's sound quality is slightly sub-par, it absolutely blows the other ones OUT OF THE WATER. The bootlegs are the only way to get the "unmolested" version of the score, in my knowledge.
Does anyone know if there's a dramatic difference between all the different bootlegs?
On a side note, I thought it was interesting that the bootleg was recognized by iTunes when I transferred it to the iPod, track names intact. Surprising. |
