I installed Painter IX, and the tablet only works with the opacity, not brush size. Do I have to set up something to apply pressure sensitivity to brush size? _________________ Human mind is the battlefield of good and evil. |

I was in contact with wacom support the other day on a relating issue - I lost tilt sensitivity in Painter.... Supposedly this is a known bug in the wacom drivers that affects the Painter family. However there is a simple work-around.
Locate a file called wacom.dat (think it's somewhere in the windows catalog, use search to find it). Delete that file. You won't destroy anything since this is where your wacom settings are stored and a new file will be built next time you start the computer. Reboot and see if the problem is still there.
Not sure if this will work for you but it's well worth a shot. Good luck. _________________ www.mattiassnygg.com

Mon, are you sure that its not "tablet.dat"? Because thats normaly the file you would delete to reset your wacom settings. And its not quite right that you dont destroy anything by deleting this file, since you destroy all the settings you have made in your wacom driver. If you have edited the settings of the Express Keys and lets say you did this for various application than youll have to edit them again. _________________ Que la fuerza te acompae! |

The file is either wacom.dat or tablet.dat depending on (I suppose) your tablet model and driver.
If you're concerned about losing your Wacom Tablet Properties control panel settings, open it up and take notes before deleting the wacom.dat/tablet.dat file. That should make it a little faster and easier when resetting everything.

Mine is just a 6 by 8 Graphire 3. Nothing much on the control panel. _________________ Human mind is the battlefield of good and evil. |

In general when someone tells you to Delete a file, dont delete it!
You should do one of the following:
1. Rename it. So you could rename File.txt to File_old.txt
2. Move it. You should move it out of the application entirely and put it in some sort of temp folder.
If you do it one of these two ways you can always recover that file easily in case you really messed something up by removing it.
Yes I know you can recover files that have been deleted, but if someone else in the house decides to empty the trash bin, its gone. |
