"Recalled to Life"
"And from my back, the canopy outspread;
Though not alive, I surely was not dead."
This is a picture of a dead rat with plants growing from his back. He doesn't mind being dead, because the plants smell very nice. Here is a detail shot:
Please note that my website, www.gorblimey.com (which people have been buggin' me about for ages), has also been "recalled to life". It's not much to look at, but most of my newer work is there. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

yeah, yeah, its great, blah blah.
I love the concept of this one. Your stuffs got so much personality and like...that extra something that just mesmerizes me. Have you considered doing one of those coffee table book things, like those good fairies/bad fairies type of deals. I'd love a book that was just like, "the magical world of rats" or something. _________________ http://www.angelfire.com/art2/wfkeil |

Heysoos - I'll put a book together eventually, but it probably won't be for another few years. At the moment, I don't have enough of a following for any publishers to be interested, and I also don't have enough top-quality work to fill a whole book. It'll happen eventually, though.
Godwin - In general terms, I do a pencil sketch first, to get the composition/anatomy/etc. right, and then I use pen over that. Once the pen is done, I usually erase the pencil. There aren't really any tricks to it, though. The process is pretty much as simple as it gets.
Max Kulich, jr - Thank you very much!
balistic - Thanks! I almost forgot to put his tail in--ha, ha! Good thing I remembered in time.
eyewoo - Thank you! The only thing better than a dead rat is a living one. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

Socar,
Your work still makes me remember the wonder of looking at a good piece of detailed art. It's nice to be back. |
