Well, I was quite happy with how the first phases of this picture were going on. It is a "Robug" patrolling an industrial corridor, with a gun in its hands.
I think I was achieving good shapes and values, something I always fail at, but...
What frightens me is that my wife said she couldn't visualize the robot. She thought it was a big head with an open mouth.
So, please, may you critique:
a) Does it look like a robot with a gun, or a big robot with an open mouth?
b) How are the values?
c) Colours...am I in the right way?
Thanks a lot!
*** UPDATE ***
Well, I took in consideration all the advices and modified the picture.
First of all, I changed where the light was pointing (now it focus directly in front of the robug).
I added some more contrast, and cut the pipe so it doesn't interfere with the character.
It is nearly to be finished (supposing I have some spare time)...
