"The existing journal // body of work belonging to the visionary. "
ahahahahahaha
You suck.
Go away.
edit: oh god, it gets better
" Razorblade Symphony is a collective on-going experiment that transcends all boundaries of modern "music" and seeks to question the very essence of the definition itself.
The material that is "discussed" through many of the pieces are of metaphysical/occult/spiritual& political nature(s).
Composed and implemented soley by DRF, it is critically acclaimed among inner circles.
However, for the average listener to fully appreciate the whole of it, much knowledge on a variety of topics ( see philosophy) should be acquired beforehand." _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I doubt I will be able to acquire all the knowledge and philosophy required with only 2 weeks before launch...As for "questioning the very essence of the definition of 'music,' the Mirriam-Webster definition of:
1 a : the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity b : vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony
suffices quite well, as anything that doesn't fit this fairly simple definition is simply NOT music, and is just 'noise,' the definition of which, is:
2 a : SOUND; especially : one that lacks agreeable musical quality or is noticeably unpleasant
What is so hard to understand that it requries "questioning of the definition itself," as well as "much knowledge on a variety of topics" (philosophy??!?) acquired beforehand to "appreciate" it?
I agreee 200% with Balistic,

except that I think a better way to phrase it might be "get over yourself." On-going "experiments" that basically amount to disorganized contributions that discard accepted definitions in order to justify their existance are doomed from the start. There are far too many legitimate outlets for real Art and Music appreciation/discussion in existance for those with some (albeit not necessarily "much") knowledge to appreciate or discuss what they experience.
But, thank you for giving us advance notice to "reserve our spot early," for those who might not want to miss out on this exclusive opportunity! From the sounds of it, membership must be limited, so advance reservations are a definite plus... _________________ Life is short. Expect nothing, enjoy everything.

i really wasnt looking for a dispute over the topic OF the website, however, if you would like to debate about anything else im all for making people look stupid.
but on a side note: it has been brought to my attention that perhaps i should offer you people some "Stuff" in order to keep you "comming back",
So any suggestions/input is welcomed.
As for ballistic, hey , if thats a link to YOUR site in your sig, than i respect your opinion, seriously. But if the case is that your just some random joe-scmo ranting on a forum than. yeah. lol. just dont even bother. im from a whole diff class .

Haha, this goes straight into my instant classics folder.
"To appreciate much of the work, i suggest reading the following: The Necronomicon by Azul Azif"
This one is rad just for the parenthetic statement.
"Join the Revolution Of Wisdom and Intelligence ( The Forums)"
"While waiting for this page to be updated, I suggest you venture off and read up on Socrates,Plato, and Descartes- some of my personal favorites."
I, for one, demand MORE CONTENT. Even the stuff you write here is hilarious.
First comes the threat of obvious intellectual annihilation:
"...if you would like to debate about anything else im all for making people look stupid. "
Yet no less than THREE sentences later he launches into an AOLSpeak-quality diatribe:
"But if the case is that your[sic] just some random joe-scmo ranting on a forum than[sic]. yeah. lol. just dont[sic] even bother. im[sic] from a whole diff[sic] class ."
Genius. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Oh my.
I find an inherent flaw in any intellectual discussion that assumes that it is of a higher level than others, seeing as to how we are all restricted to the same plane of existance. So... I 'respectfully decline' your offer.
Your goal may be more altruistic, but the way in which you have conveyed it seems to be more self-gratifying than selfless. |
