This is nice. Is it 3d? Because the geometry is very nice looking.

Bloody hell!

I really like the flat lighting. It doesn't seem tacky.

As I said before see, this is really impressive. The detail is just perfect.
The only weak point imo is the composition, I though can't really tell you what it is exactly that bothers me about it...
Anyways, doesn't matter. It's pretty amazing!!

Great work, very impressive!
Only thing I have a problem with is that brown tank to the left... not sure why though :/

Shocked No need to downgrade it indeed, I agree with the others that this is a magnificent piece. Don't need explosions to unbore (is there even such a word???) a picture

is this photo manipulation or what? the mountains seem real to me... the tank on the left with hte number 245 doesnt have the depth to seperate from the train.. it looks flat.

but its freakingly great, is it 3d + 2d + photo ?

no photomanipulation man. Thats not my area Evil or Very Mad Wink

Its 2D startet from sketch. I spent a lot of time in planing the perspective.
But its a "simple" 2 point perspective.
I used ref for the train of course. And its all about drawing at big size and to detail where necessary. I run the sharpen filter afterwards. Used textures i made by myself. Some custombrushes and filters and brushes and stamp tool etc.
Thats all ! Wink

I think the original size is 4000 x something.

Thx soo much for the kind words.

I think perhaps the lines lead the eye to the right-hand border where there's nothing to see. :-/

checked out the rest of your works... wow...

someone really gotta tell me how to get that textured look in PS, is it by using brushes on different blend modes and layers? or really just a texture overlayed?

@godwin:

i used textures only a little because i dont have that much good textures. You can download some nice one at mayangs free texture, just search with google.
I used stamp tool for creating the stones so I only had to drew a few of them. Cool
I like texture brushes. Mod set to multiply, color, whatever. Just play around. Also custombruhes are nice to use. There are different ways to start. You can begin with texture or overlay later on. Wasssssssup uploaded a tutorial on his page. Check it out! And paint large! Zooooom in and start detailing. next to the enlarged view i have a 100% view. And i often wonder how less information is necessary to fool the eye. still questions? add me to your ICQ contact list Very Happy
