OK... this thread will probably die a quick and quiet death, but I thought I'd give it a try. Just artwork without guts, monsters, gore or violence. Here's a start.

dude, if I were a shrimp, that'd be a pretty gory picture right there
cool piece though. I like the lemon. crisply-rendered. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

haha, I was about to say the same.
I actually thought that looked pretty gruesome. The shrimp look bloodied.
Plus I'm a veggie, so technically, to me those are murdered shrimp! hehe.. ![Wink](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

Hm, I actually don't have anything to show, I just had to comment on your new image.
I really like it. I think you found a great way to combine the new comic/texture style you developed for the comics
with your former realistic style. I love the result. Very cool!
I don't even think there's so much violence related stuff on this boerd. Maybe it's making one blind after some years long live this thread!!! |

Hi Philip,
Home you don't mind me posting this paint-massacre
First try using acrylics, fighting the paint, man it is hard..
Gonna change the background later I think but enough for today. |

eyewoo, nice work. I first saw some of your stuff on somethingleet some time back. Really enjoyed it. If that is a mix of realism and cartoony style, it certainly leans to the realistic side! Nice work! I am a vegie too, but more for my own health then that of the animals, so that one is fine for me
Quick painting of a drawing I did a bit ago.
I had tried this one in watercolor and it didn't come out. So I am glad I got another chance at it. Kind of has a watercolor feel with this one too as I tried to do some light washes with heavier detail.

that reminds me of some of the books I used to read as a kid... Sometimes the detail and action in them could make you look at the same page for quite a while... heh
and the one on top with the prawns... delicious looking nice..
anyways here's a couple of crappy paintings I did some time ago when playing with painter....

The highlights on the bus seat are great! reminds me of the metro back home.....The only thing I don't like about these is that you talked them down... |

yea, where to post, where to post.
here
Did this today. I memorized the general setting and light one day when a tram arrived. Used a couple of ref photos of trams to get some details right.

Eyewoo, that's aerial shot is nice, somehow messes up my head though. Maybe it's just that there's no depth vanishing point.
Godwin, very good sense of space and light in the bus. |

well heh thanks, it is actually a train (singapore's mass rapid transit MRT)
I do think they're kinda "crappy" when compared to the many other works here, they may not be crappy in comparison to my other work or your work, but yea... context and it's also more like me telling myself I've still got a lot of room for improvement rather than saying I'll never improve or something _________________ Derelict Studios|Godwin's Space |
