A comic cover for a friend. He runs a webcomic at http://www.daedalusblue.com
I took a photo of my hand for ref on that trigger hand. which i still think looks odd. the whole thing is a bit of a bodge but I'm okay with that.
Progress is here.
And the other one is one of those "not really a speedpainting, but doesn't deserve it's own thread" ones, inspired by a not-that-great book called Neuromancer.
Criticism and all that welcome.

The Neuromancer pic is incredible. I love it.
I think it has a blade runner feel to it too.
Her left hand is too little, doesn't take anything away from the atmosphere though.
Great stuff. I feel inspired to paint something similar! |

cool stuff, the face looks rally stunning on that 1st picture...the hands are a little off but still great art..
the second gives the mood with simplicity I think, works perfect. especialy the impression on the girls face is very well done, which completes the picture to me.
well done! _________________ Emir YARDIMCI

the second one looks very cicinimo-like i like your mix of unfinished and finished parts. The first one is cool too although his left hand looks a little strange but no big deal. Both are well done. Dark, dramatically, good mood. |

see, yeah I know what you mean it is cicinimo-ish!

Great paintings Capt. Fred!
Love the darknes of the second one.
I have two things to critisize though: 1st painting - anatomy of the forefinger on his left hand seems to be wrong. 2nd - the background looks too saturated to me.
Keep up a good work |
