Hmm could be just cus i'm new and don't really know how things work, but i couldn't find where to put my reasoning when answering the poll so i thought i would just post a reply with my resoning.

The one on the left is the better choice, a much better choice at that. The resoning for this is the mix of colors and the focal point. The focal point of the piece is the girls head, in the image on the left this is clearly evident. But looking at the image on the right, the blue in the background and the orange tones of the body, specifically the lower body, are complimentary colors, so the bottom of the image and the face of the girl are in competition for your eyes attention, making the image on the right, more confusing and uncomfortable to look at. Thus with the image on the left being more pleasing to view, it becomes the better color scheme.

Nice image by the way.

yeah. i was actually worried that the background was taking away from the figure too much, so I toned it down a lot.

Thanks so much! Here's the updated vrsn. do you think it's an improvement?
