There are actually many famous Russian painters, musicians, composers and writers - You should've heard of Tchaikovski and Pushkin, just to name 2 of 'm.

Take a look at 1 site of Russian art: http://www.anikina.com - just to show that Russian art didn't stop with the October Revolution, nor with Glasnost.

Tchaikovski and Pushkin haven't offered anything "new" on the 'Net in ages...maybe because they were dead long before going on-line. If Russian art "stopped" at the Oktober Revolution's Avant-Garde like Kandinsky or Malevich, or with Glasnost's Pivovarov or Leonid Lamm, it would be like saying surrealist art stopped with Dali...

anikina.com is no better, worse, nor different than any of a few million other russian artist galleries... http://www.galleries.ru/moreartists.asp

The phrase "Russian Entertainment portal" is the interesting thing here. That is NOT Pushkin, nor is it an artist's gallery. Usually, entertainment portals involve some form of purchased content, be it audio or video streaming. Actually, russia is slightly ahead of some countries in the implementation of content charges. It will eventually become the norm the world over, expecially with mobile phones becoming more and more like wireless mini-pc's.

Lol, you guys, sound so ignorant. You dont even deserve my replay... but, however. Here is one "unknown russian artist" - www.anry.ru I can name many many more, but hey... why to ruin your ambitions Laughing Laughing Laughing
