Gotta hand it to the MPAA for making the end of one the biggest torrent sites at least a little entertaining...

Where exactly should I go to get authorized to illegally download movies, again? Hell, if this is just a matter of getting a permit, I'd be glad to make the trip down to City Hall. Light green form, or goldenrod?

Heh my sentiments exactly, I can understand the first part, but stifles creativity? Pffft.

Genuine creativity is too risky these days. Rehashing the old culturally accepted stuff is so much more attractive to those spineless producers that have nothing better to do with their money...

Well. if i was to invest in a movie... i honestly wouldnt give a rats ass about originality. I would want returns with minimum risk.

If you were to invest in a movie with returns in favor of originality, you'd be doing it for the wrong reason.

Thx Hamster.

Anyways, I doubt you'll find a better and less riskier investement than Men in Black 3 or X-Men 3.

You've just demonstrated the attitude perfectly Drunken Monkey! Less risky movies = more support from the movie business.

Personally, I would not want to see a Men in Black 3 or X-men 3 unless the people behind them did something new and original to break the mold of all the overly produced remakes and teeny-thrill flicks that have been coming out recently. Hooray for art direction and special effects, but if that's all a movie is, then it sucks.

People eat it up because we're a planet of infants without real parents.

The closest thing to a parental figure lots of people have is the TV. Entertainment media.

For many the 4 or 5 channels they choose to watch are the scope of their thinking. They've watched those channels their whole life and have developed according to what those channels show. It's similar to only hearing one side of an argument.

---

No one exists to tell these people otherwise. "these people" are the people who enjoyed Spy Kids 2 and would love to see 3fast 3furious or Alien vs. Predator 6.

---

This is a horrible thing and you shouldn't exploit it because you care for money more than peoples mental welfare.
