Yeah, i know it looks as if it has not much to do with illustration, but the tools and techniques used are very illustration related. It really feels like some kind of painting.

Right now I am adding the base skin shader... After that I will be able to paint the texture directly on the model.

I like it. It's got some realistic qualities. Although perhaps the outer corners of the eyes (crows-feet areas) are letting it down a bit. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

Yes. That's clearly the weak point of the model.
Anyway what I am trying to do is recommending zbrush to anyone with no particular education in modelling but with drawing skills. The modelling tools are enormously intuitive. _________________ RLUX

Hi Fred. I've taken a tour through your site.
Amazing art there... I would say you've been influenced by Craig Mullins, Kyle baker and Bill Sinkiewicz (sp?) among many others I guess.
Are you a comic-book reader? _________________ RLUX

wow, i was always a little embarrassed by my site!
I know of Craig, but not the others. I can't say I ever think about style, when i do i usually end up slapping some line drawing in! cop out.
Never read a comic, no. Never even seen a comic in the UK, though there is a small, shady-looking shop I pass which I never had the nerve to go into. Maybe if I got some tattoos and black hoodie.
thanks, i'll check those guys out :) |
