Getting caught up on MORE work I'm really late for....

I'm not colouring it. Anyone who wants to see colours can put them on themselves. Very Happy

All other comments or criticism, which don't involve telling me to colour it, are welcome.

.... that is beautiful .. did you draw on that textured surface, or was it textured afterwards ?
for work or personal artwork ?

Wonderful image Socar, as usual!!
Technically brilliant, the detail is incredible.! You should check out Albrecht Drer's engravings.
I think you could learn a lot from his images concerning this special technique.
Keep up the great work"!

Ha, funny comment, Max--Durer is actually one of my biggest influences, so it's not surprising you mentioned I might like him. Very Happy

Andromeda - Yeah, I drew it on paper with a slight tooth to it (Canson Mi-Teintes in sand colour). It was done for a private commission. As far as the colour thing goes, yeah, I was serious--anyone who feels like it can slap on some colour. (I can even provide a full-res scan if anyone wants, although it would be VERY big).

Mon - Sure--this part of the picture is less than an inch high, though, so it doesn't have much detail: http://www.rattysghost.com/images/wormwooddetail2.jpg . It was just a little extra thing I snuck in there.

DeadbeaT - Wow, thanks--I'm flattered!

eyewoo - Thank you very much! Glad you like it.

This is the kind of drawing that would drive me insane. You either have immense patience or you're totally loopy.

So much effort must have went into this. Incredible. Beautiful. Graceful and other such adjectives.

Man, I didn't realize this thread was still alive!

Booff - Maybe a bit of both, eh? Ha, ha. It took about 4 days, but I was also working on other stuff at the same time, so the effort put into it wasn't THAT huge. Also, it's only about 8.5" x 11", maybe a LITTLE bigger.

Enlighter - Thanks!

MrTrichomes - Oh, very nice! Very cute little rat--is he yours? I'm going to fix my site really soon now. I have a bunch of commissions to finish, and then....

3xodus - Hey, nicely done! I hope you finish up these sketches--they have a lot of promise.

Andromeda - Hey, I doubt you'd embarrass yourself. I'm sure you'd do a great job.

Francis - Thanks very much...and PTHBBBBBT!
