It depends on what you are looking for.
If you just want to show your stuff, and get nothing but blanket asspats, go to WetCanvas.com's Digital art forum.
When you get tired of all the praise, and all the really bad digital art, and want to push your boundaries a bit more, it will then depend on what your particular genre is.
If drawing Uber-hot chicks or supermuscular warrior/soldier types, Sci-fi type stuff is your thing, Conceptart.com is pretty good. If elves and manga-type work is more your bent (along with TONS of asspats, but little real critique), Elfwood is the place to be. If your tastes and talent are a little broader and more varied, you're in the right place.
It also depends on what you mean by "n00b friendly." That will depend on what you have to offer on any Forum you go to. If all you have to contribute are asspat praises with no real depth ("Wow, that is so great!" without any reasoning why beyond the fact you like how it looks), you won't find much of a home outside of Elfwood and WetCanvas. If you have art to post, and have a thick enough skin (and a sense of humor) to accept both compliments AND criticisms, depending on what you draw, you should be able to grow and enjoy yourself in almost all forums. _________________ Life is short. Your humility is almost Zen. I like that.
