so i've pretty much been on break from my tablet for about..hmm..going on a millenia now because ive been doing nothing but oil and acrylic paintings for college portfolio...i picked it back up yesterday and today and i was amazed at how painting with traditional mediums this much has helped me in digital art...the first one is an acrylic i did a few weeks ago...then an oil (never really finished)...then my lil mess around digi goblin...and this new digi piece im having trouble with...let me know...peace.

^^^^see i cant decide if i want to render it and detail it more or if i should just leave it all stroky like this...i kinda like it like this but its a shame to declare it done ya know

great artwork.. love your style! i agree-- painting traditionally really does help your digital work.. (and it's a nice break from a monitor.. there still nothing quite like the ability to 'touch' a brush/paints/canvas!)

..thanks for sharing!

Hey! I really like the first one! Smile

Looking the second one gives me headache, The main compositional elements (the head & the door) are separated too strongly on each other, tho.

This really inspires me to try paint traditionally! Thanks! Smile

thanks everyone...the second (green) one was one of my first oil attempts so it may have been more experimental than an actual piece...i agree theres too much open space...
does anyone know what the best way to print a digital piece is?...i kinda wanna print that last one out to have...thanks again

hmm I guess the best way to print a digital work is 'digital printing' Smile

but here where I live (turkey, istanbul) sometimes they say its digital printing, but the result is just awfull...you have to search for it very much to find a decent digital print store...

I guess a muchmore knowledged person about this issue would help you out better than me, thats all I know for now.

chherz.
