Hey, this is my first time posting anything anywhere, I don't know anything about forums, but I love drawing, painting - anything like that and this has been my favorite place to seek artists for inspiration.

i painted this from 2-3 am last night w/painter - no model... any critiques?

You can simply edit your post and remove the "." after the image extension "jpg".
If you want to show the image directly rather than posting a link to a website you can register at http://www.photobucket.com for free.

The image is pretty good. The proportions are ok the facial expression reads well ... I like the palette too.
Somehow the background is a bit boring and more tension would be good.
I guess she shouldn't be centered in the image like that.
Maybe some more saturation here and there would help too.

I think using black and white for highlights and shadows is ok in that style.
But on her right leg it looks like dirt somehow.
