I am a painter/photographer looking for someone to re-design/update my website (www.oliverg.greatnow.com). I am a student, so cannot afford to pay full price, but will pay. I don't necessarily need a professional, it could be a web-design student - anyone who can do a good job. Preferably someone based in London.
If you're interested please email me at [email protected]
Cheers, Oliver |

I was wondering if you intended to get a proper host and domain? I don't believe it would be worth your while paying someone to design a new site for you if the advertisements and popups are part of a potential clients browsing experience. Hosting and domain registration is very cheap nowadays, especially in the US... I would personally consider spreading your funds to a new host and domain aswell as a redesign. |

Ian, I will definately do that. The original site was designed for me by a friend for free, so I got a free service provider, but as you said, if I'm going to pay someone to re-design the site it makes sense to get rid of the ads and pop-ups. |

If you're going to use free hosting services use either tripod.com or geocities.com hosting. There you get the options of upgrading, which allows you to just basically upgrade your site from having ads, to having NO ads and they do offer domain assistance, if you're totally daft on how to get your domain otherwise. In the meantime, post this inquiry up on DeviantArt.com and settle on a range you can afford to pay the person to make the site for you. That friend of yours might be able to help you get a better idea what to pay, if not, maybe he can direct you to someone who can tell you what you can, or should be paying a web designer. _________________ [:: Digital Marmalade! ::]
