Anybody else feel like doing illustrations of dreams? This is a weird one I had the other night:

I don't even want to consider the psychological ramifications of dreaming about ex-girlfriends shepherding albino llamas across a river . . .

The girl in your dream is a Llama salesgirl?

I have very vivid and cinematic dreams all the time, and I usually write them down, or do quick sketches, but I don't think I've done a full painting yet.

I find that most of my memorable dreams have very striking color. It's not just something I ascribe to the dream after waking up, but sometimes the colors in a dream will be so vivid that I will actually make note of them as I sleep.

There's one I had a few years ago with black canyons, purple trees, and glass bridges that I've had on my to do list for a long time. I think I want to do it in 3D though, maybe make an animation.

I had a dream for an awesome car design. The idea is still there (thankfully) just have to draw it out. Im not a great drawer unfortunately so i'll have to dedicate some serious time to get it looking right. Was an awesome looking car too.

nice balistic. seeing urs, i illustrated mine just now in 15 mins... i had it last night. i fell asleep reading a book by stephen king called Black House. This was a scene from the book i was reading.

the story behind it(in stephen kings book);

a guy in this world kills children, eating their insides and then sends the remains to their mothers. however, the children dont die. they r sent to another worl, which is this... where they wander without purpose with bleeding feet... freaky book..

I can never recall any colour in my dreams, everything seems to be black and white. Found and interesting article on the subject - http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2002/12/021224091445.htm

If I was at all motivated, I'd do one I had last year at college of me and my friends flying around my room while a pair of boots tapdanced on the ceiling.

ps. I have fucked up dreams Smile

Hehe, no. It was actually one of the guys from Quake II. Basically I found myself walking around a coastal inlet (cave under a coastal building) and found the body of a soldier from Quake II, as though he'd lost a firefight and had pulled himself into the pipe. I originally tried to have his gun next to him but it didn't really work.

I also get alot of Trilobytes, Manta Rays, Cuttlefish and Beetles in my dreams too.

Last night I had a similar one, except it was in an attic, but every staircase went upstairs to another attic (think of the Labyrinth sequence in "The Name Of The Rose"). No windows. No 'outside'. Seems to be a prominent feature in my dreams of late.

That's very creepy Ceenda. Nice work on the water, too.

Deadskies: I'll have some of whatever you're eating before you go to bed Smile

Anyone here familiar with an underground comic book called Rare Bit Fiends? I don't know if it's still being published, but it was a periodic anthology of short comic stories based on dreams by various artists. Worth checking out if you see a copy in the cheap bin at a comic shop.
