I did this over the last few evenings, in photoshop.
People were asking about the floor in speedpainting: I used edit->transform.
Criticism welcome.
(the speedy)

Also, I'm interested in what sort of level I would need to be get any kind of job doing this sort of thing? |

Loved the speedy, loving the finished. Awesome atmosphere and mood to this one, Fred. I'd like to see a little more refinement to the guy on the far right sitting on the barrel, though. He looks interesting.
Anyways, keep it up! |

Great picture, you really transformed the speedy well - keeping the loose lines and still making it more detailed.
You should have a job doing this sort of thing (if I understood you question right) _________________ Yeah man but it's a dry heat... |

Ha, Fred. I love it!
Yeah, it's definately good enough for a job. Depending ofcourse on how much time you used on it.
I'd say that the image could be more interesting though. There has been an accident? And? I'm just noticing this because I'm thinking alot about making my own images moore interesting these days. That's a minor crit though.
Grreat!

Really nice work, I agree with Sukhoi, it could do with more of a story behind it and then it will be amazing.
Is it an accident or are they space hobos gathering around burning toxic waste? i'm not sure.
big up the viaduct. I like that other painting |

Thanks everyone!
tomasis, i don't really know if i think it's the 'most advanced' or if it's just most detailed. I guess it's the most presentable thing I've done.
sukhoi, time-wise, although I wrote 'last 3 evenings', that was just because it was after midnight on wednesday night and I though it was thrusday. So if it took two evenings, hopefully that's not impracticably slow? The 'back-story'.. hmm. It's your average video-game style 'dark corridor' - halo doom marathon etc. that's all i got on story! humans boarded downed ship, waiting for orders from HQ? (I like quiet better than action.)
max, skill level? didn't take any more skill than my speedpaintings, just more refined is all - and I like the speedy better, too :)
bandados, viaduct? |
