Trying to get back into Illustrator.. Anyhow my line art sucks, I have a problem getting thick/thin line weights where I like them so lately been trying to use Illustrator for those nice clean lineweights, anyone got any tips?
Here's a new monkey pic I was going to use as my logo for my site. Any crits or ideas would be swell!!

It's pretty much automatic with the Brush tool in Illustrator (assuming you have a tablet). Double click the Brush tool icon to set line fidelity so your lines dont get too much smoothed out.
In Painter, just use the Scratchboard tool.
Otherwise get "Illustrator for Dummies" the book is awesome. No stupid examples that nobody wants to follow along, just straight to the point step by step explanations of all the Illustrator features and tons of tips with all the goodie shortcuts. I dont know if all the 'for dummies' books are like that but I was impressed. _________________ "I'm not a shrimp, I'm a KING PRAWN !" -- Pepe.

Yeah I have the Classroom in a book, but shows you how to do 'graphic design' type things not much outlining art stuff.
I recalled someone awhile back having explaining how to create a mushroom house he had made in illustrator, but anyhow.. thanks for the advice. _________________ .::astrochimp.net::. |
