Alright... I took Muzman's punk bunny (thanks, muzman... you're the greatest) and then I basically traced the sections and colored it in. Then I made my first attempt with dodge/burn using a mouse. Unfortunately, I'm not all that good at using dodge/burn, cause I can't figure out how to make the dodge or burn areas bigger or smaller, except by changing the intensity, which just leads to the colors changing faster. Can you only do small area dodge/burn using a tablet, or is it possible with a mouse? I'm hoping to con a tablet out of my parents for my birthday, but that's 5 months away... anyways, all things considered, here's what I've got so far... any tips on how to dodge/burn more effectively are QUITE welcome...
I don't know if this works or not, but I'll try putting the image IN the message... here goes nothing:
I know it needs some work on the eyes, the cigarette, and the shirt. But other than that, take a look at what I've done and tell me how to do it better, cause I'm not satisfied with it.. well, I'm satisfied, but I'm not happy... anyways, thanks in advance for your help...

There's the link for other ppls convenience.
BTW: I rekon it looks sweet!
To make the dodge and burn areas bigger or smaller. Select the dodge or burn tool (whichever you plan to use) and then click on the size of brush you want. That's pretty much it.
If you can't see the brushes window.
Click, Window-->Show Brushes
Now that you know that, you can use the finer dodge tools to make him look shinier and to make his jacket shiny and leathery. hehe. It's perfect for a punk band, nice stuff!

Thanks for the tip Jason... I forgot all about the brushes window... I have a small monitor and I usually try to keep it clean by getting rid of extra toolbars and stuff, so I didn't even realize that there was a toolbar for brushes... well, I'll be able to do WAY more now... oh well, thanks for your help everyone.. I'll go and do some more work and post it when I'm done...
