Wow, that article was painful to read. Half Life 2 is the biggest game of the past two years, yet they hire somebody who strings together phrases like "beautifully characterful" to review it . . . print gaming journalism is in a pretty sad state.
Looking forward to playing it though. I've never actually played the original, somehow. Played lots of Team Fortress and DM, but never SP Half Life. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

So, Dhabih, does that mean you will bring back the celebrity morphing on weekly or even a bi,tri, weekly basis? Would love to see it.
BTW, Great 2d art work man. I really hope it is what it is. |

balistic, the platinum package comes with HL1 remade in the Source engine, looks like a good time to play it (I plan replaying it for sure) _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

The thing Im most curious about is if you(as in valve) changed the sucky hit animation of the crowbar. Time will tell, Ill just have to get a new graphics card I guess and I should be able to play it. Also I wonder, are the high steam prices due to Vivendi not allowing you to charge less? Nevermind, of course youre not allowed to tell us
I hope youll be back more often now that the game is done.
P.S.: Anyone can tell me how to contact Nova? Ive not seen her anywhere since she was on irc once, like centuries ago. Id really appreciate it. |

So by "box" you mean Bit Torrent?
Yeah, Doom 3 was a let down. Even beyond gameplay, the engine looks like butt. Carmack got all gooey over point-source lighting and completely neglected global illumination. HL2, on the other hand, looks like it's got much nicer lighting. Congrats Dhabs. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

Well done Dhabih. What are you going to do now? How long have you been working on it? Since the start? |

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH it needs internet access...
Not what I expect of an off-the-shelf product.
I have a dial-up modem at home. Will that be enough to just log into steam and authenticate my activation key?
Or will I have to download some 300 MB Steam crap onto my machine via dial-up?

it's just a 32k activation key, you can do it over a modem. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

after 2 years of not playing CS, i thought i'd give it a go last nite.. Egh, nothing has changed.. ok flashbangs actually effect you now, as in disorientate, deafen etc. but you can still jump around and accruately shoot people.. oh well back to BF1942 DC for multiplayer games .. |

Try the Forgotten Hope mod for BF1942. It has a ton of content . . . I think it adds something like 250 vehicles. Still suffers from BF's wonky physics when you're indoors, but the community is mostly great, and the maps are atmospheric and awesome. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |
