Just for the hell of it I one time did one of those (knowing full-well I'd never see anything).
I was right. You have to get something like 100 referals on b.s. internet subscriptions sites. A waste of time, even for a free iPod. |

I personally love the people who join every forum they can google to try to get people to sign up so they can get one, always with the line in the thread that it works, because they've already gotten theirs, but they want you to sign up so they can get another one! They seldom post to the forums again...
The latest evolution of spam and adware in my book, just getting people to do their dirty work instead of banners, popups and e-mails. Get 'em to join by flooding forums and chat rooms with this crap for a free i-pod... _________________ Life is short. Expect nothing, enjoy everything.

Yep.
I'd actually like to take this time call a Moderator to take action. Ban the user; lock the thread - whatever.

LOL at Balistic.
But really, this isn't fake, I have seen countless amounts of these in articles and on TV, it turns out to be legit. But I have to agree spaming a board to get you ipods is ridiculous. ![Evil or Very Mad](images/smiles/icon_evil.gif) |

Legit, no question about it...but you DO understand the catch, right?
They're a MARKETTING FIRM.
They SELL things.
That means, Hello spam and special deals just for you a trip for two to jamaica buy now get one free call in the next 20 minutes and we'll include a free ass raping!
You've just given a huge marketting company your name, your email and your home address. OWNED.
"Well I haven't gotten any spam." Yeah, Fucknuts? There is a thing called time and sometimes time does have to pass before they attempt to disembowel you with advertisements.
Infact, don't you have to accept a deal with some company for 1 month of special offers just to register at the freeipod's site? I believe that's one of the requirements too. |
