recently wanted the network feature for this older version of opencanvas. can't seem to get it to work. As far as i know, the person acting as the server just has to go to server and standby. And the ones who want to connect to the host must under the client menu, fill in the host's ip adress, and username/password (if provided). Thats supposed to be it right? I've tried going to sites that give u ur ip adress, but nothing seems to work. always the same error message (in japanese) when i try to connect to a host, or when a friend tries to connect to my hosted session.
help plz... ![Confused](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) |

could be a firewall problem but i dunno how to fix those either. i'm using norton 2005 and windows sp2. i've tried turning off both firewalls, but i still get the same message. |

Is there anyone that can help? Also forgot to mention that my comp is on a router. Could this be a reason why the network feature isn't working? |
