did this in photoshop. any comments and suggestions are welcomed:)

How would I make this look more traditional? what can I do in painter if
i were to import this? could i add swirl marks or something. posted a similar question on the work in progress board but people seem to be too busy.

thanks.... awesome work on the speed painting threads.

This is really cool. I love the idea of warriors from isolated tribes getting in on WWII. Your painting style is great and I like how the brush detail is focused around the hero.

It's hard to make out what's happening in the bottom left. After staring at it for ten seconds, I think it's the right arm of a soldier holding a short dagger with a piece of turf stuck in it.

As for importing into painter, you could try using watercolour paints and washes to the background elements like the flags to give them a different texture and separate them more. Maybe a clear impasto effect on the foreground characters to put lighting onto the brushstrokes, too?

hey thanks man,

i love the impasto effect but it seems to be too fine in painter:) Is it the only digital impasto available? I'd love to do it on everything i do.
