'Disturbing' is something i could agree on.

There seems to be an overall lack of depth to this. It's as if this was carved out of a flat piece of wood. The lights and shadows only appear to create small variations in shape that lie on the same plane.

It seems you should have spent a bit more time in the sketching stage to get the main forms down and not focus as much on the details.
