Hey everybody!
I'm new to this forum, but I've been browsing through some posts and, hey, there are lots of talented artists here! I've been looking for a forum like this for a while ...
Anyway - please take a look at my new website - it's barely two weeks old and still looks clumsy but I've got some of my images up there and some info that might useful to some of you guys (eg. how to tune your machine & PS for speed, some setup tips, etc.). Please let me know what you think of it - any kind of feedback would be helpful, you can also let me know if there's something you'd like to see posted.
I'll be updating it regularly, so check back once in a while if you like it.
Cheers - Loki

Hello. I went to your site, it's great. Your art is really breathtaking and I just love the feeling I get when looking at the LODGE painting. It's so dark and I wonder what situations are occuring inside each of the lit windows in the lodge. |

Hey Loki
Well, your images were quite dissapointing. You say you're girlfriend is the most awesome girl on the planet. well, perhaps, to improve the content you should just put up pictures of her?
hee hee. Just kidding, really! I love it when every now and again I come acoss a gem of a site like yours. Top notch stuff man!
You're probably aware of this, but I'll point it out anyways just in case. I see Craig Mullins is in your links section. He has been making some posts on this forum under the name "spooge demon." Shane Caudle, of Unreal tournament, also stopped by the other day.
Loki, could ya do me the great honour of taking a look at the site I'm helping on: www.3dpalette.com
we've got some cool stuff, and we update every day with game art news, a Picture of the Day. Roughly weekly, we also feature an article, be it an interview with someone in gaming art, or a tutorial etc. check out one of our recent features: www.3dpalette.com/features/assaultgirl www.3dpalette.com/peaeye

I sincerely like your art. It's very inspirational to a (hopefully) budding sci-fi/fantasy illustrator. Let me know if the company you're with ever has any openings needed filled. |

Well, ecplipse - thanks!!!! Thanks also to all the other postings - makes me very happy!
I did those space-ship images purely for fun - it's like a compulsive painting disorder.
The company I'm working with doesn't really need images like that - unforuna |

[repost - things got messed up during the last try! sorry]
Well, ecplipse - thanks!!!! Thanks also to all the other postings - makes me very happy!

The company I'm working with doesn't really need images like that - unforunately. Right now I'm painting trees (yahoo) for a background-matte. I like that too though.
When I'm done with the job, I'll be allowed to post them on my site ...
I'd like to see some of your stuff if you don't mind
Aaaand - I'll continue on the 'Stranded' series as time allows - the next one will be under water ... probably
Thanks again dude!

Whoa, you're J.O.E / S!P?? Lots of respect... I'm almost too young to remember you, but I recall being very impressed by your gfx in S!P's Copper demo when I was maybe 13. You were the best and got there with artistic integrity rather than overpainting Boris.
Your new work is excellent, congratulations. It's interesting to know that a scener has found his way into the movie business. I guess you're not paying much attention to the scene nowadays?

The work is, indeed, great. I , too, though you work pretty fast, 10 hours isn't that much to spend on a picture...

Digital Illustration Outpost is great. I have found his articles in the Digital Illustration section to be particularly helpful. Just being able to see how professionals set up Photoshop for convenience and speed was a big help for me. It's great to get those kind of tips from an insider. Thanks for sharing your work and your experience with us, Loki.
