Hey guys, thanx for the comments. Right now i dont have lots of time to write, because i'm sitting in an "internet shack" in some village about 8 kilometers from my school. And it's friggin expensive!!! It's 2 yuan for an hour (8.3Y = $1). So yeah.. hehe

I did write a big post about the school on some martial arts board, so i'll just paste it here until i can write some description that is more "customized" to these boards. Oh yeah, cheers to y'all bums, this China sh*t is fun! Although the biggest problems for me so far are the injuries from training, generally being really tired and sore, and also visa problems. It sux sometimes.

Anyways, here is some stupid description of my first week of training (so far i've been here for 1 month).

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys!

Guess where i am? That's right hehe. I'm at the shaolins.com place right now (well, technically i'm in Ye He - a village a few miles away from our academy). The life here is good. But 'good' is a relative term. Some people leave from here after only two days. Some people are just not used to the living conditions here. Actually, the conditions are pretty good by Chinese standards. But some people that are used to a lot of comfort and lavish living might not like it here.

Ok, now on to the important part. If you're like me, and you don't care how or where you live, then you'll worry about training. The training is very good. There are different things that you can train. The hardest is Shaolin Kung Fu. Then there is Ba Ji (sp?) and Tai Chi. And also Qi Gong. To me, the only thing that's worth anything is Kung Fu. But all people are different.. I'll just say that to train Kung Fu you'll be running till you drop, jumping till you break your neck, and doing pushups (clappers) until you start eating dust. Well.. maybe not so bad, but it is hard Smile

There are about 30 foreign students and 35 chinese. There are 4 teachers of kung fu and 1 (Mao guy) who teaches Tai Chi and Qi Gong. A group of chinese students is now in Korea doing performances.
Many people go to SiPing or ChangChung for a weekend. Usually to buy things and get massage. (not me though, cause i'm a poor guy Smile )

My training is 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. It alternates every day and includes running the stairs, jumping, San Da (sparring), weight training, forms, and something else (i forgot). In the morning of Thirsday we usually go for a walk, but sometimes it's as good as training (climbing the mountains for example).

Ok, now you can check out some photos to get a better 'picture' of what i'm talking about.

Woah man, that's awesome. I really admire you though I don't think that I would be able to survive such a training. That sounds really hard man...
Real kung fu. Can't imagine....
I hope you get through all this without any serious injuries.
Impressive photoes by the way. Must be pretty cool over there!
Good luck man!!! May the force be with you Very Happy
