Really cool, Love it! Nice detial work in the foreground, and cool designs and and concepts in there.
One thing I think is that there's no way that the left hand side in shade can be as dark as it is with a massive plane of bright sand in direct sun light so near by, and I don't think that that little white light could have effects greater than the sunlit plain either. I think if you had lit the foreground from the right with yellowish light (the sunlit sand) as opposed to from middle left with a little white light then it would look more unified, and lose the feeling that you have a dark cave, lit artifically, butting up to intense sunlight. I imagine standing in the shade.. it would be really bright in that shaded area I think. And even where the sun can't reach directly, you've still got a bright sky dome to light up the shade.
Thats all just my guess of how it would look. Your picture is kickass already. |

You're absolutely right fred, I just made up the whole lighting scheme without really thinking about it too much. It's what one gets for no real pre-production. (or just thinking for that matter)
If I had more time I could tweek it. Perhaps after midterms :/ _________________ http://kontinue.com/coldkodiak/ |
