Hey everyone, I'm new here. I've been posting on boring fanart sites for far too long and I was lured here by del3030.
I draw with the bare essentials (pencil, micron pen, watercolor) and have no computer of my own, which means no Photoshop. Many of my pics have horrible picture quality because I have to scan them in my high school on some really poor Macs between periods, so ahead of time I would like to assure you that I didn't draw ANY of these on MS Paint or an Oeakaki board.
Without further ado, my art:

This one I actually drew during a speed overdose, a few hours before my limbs stopped working.

This one is just one of my many sad ventures into watercoloring.

I drew this for a "draw-off" on the Pendako forum.

Some experiments in style.

Yet more watercolor.

Some improvisation on (as Del says) herbals.

Well, that's just about all I can dig up. None of this is new, and I actually have been battling a hellish artist's block all summer. Any comments, tips, requests to kill myself etc. would be appreciated. This forum may just be the last source of decent artwork on the internet, and I can't wait to see more.

You seem to be very fond of swords. Is there a reason for all the swords. The only thing wierd for me was the hands, they look unreal.

Ehhh... I only drew two swords total...

And yes, I suck at hands. I'm trying my best to learn them through tutorials, but they are so damn complex...

hm your works are nice. i like.

well just some tip...

the trick behind using watercolors is, that u use them and just focus on drawing the shadows and highlights. if u do it correctly the shape of the object u draw will be autoamtically defined. if u look at professional watercolor drawings u will usually see that outlines and borders of the drawings etc. are not defined by the color itself, rather its your brain finishing the work.
watercolors are usually not used to draw hard shapes and outlines and all that stuff. theyre not often used for coling either.

Damn ... I'll sound like the art police. But I really think I should write this.

Forget the crappy, specific step-by-step tutorials. Learn how to draw in general. Think in 3D.
(I'm not saying you should just draw more. I does look as if you draw a lot)

But there are not just front, side and 3/4 views (even in the manga/anime world).
Loomis has a lot of general advice. I think his books are better for learning.

Loomis Books at Fineart.sk

Draw from reference images and when possible (your hand for example) from life.
And try to be accurate when you draw something.
Don't try to draw accurately enough. Try to draw accurately!

You need a kind of library to draw from.
You can draw from your imagination after making studies.

The lines don't look like pencil lines. How did you edit them?
They should be a lot lighter IMO.

And the images are VERY busy.
Don't know where to look to give my eyes some rest.
