Need more inspiration to finish this one up

Thanks!
The first picture took about 5hrs to do. I just sat and refused to get up. I only used two stock brushes, the round one (varying sharpness) and a pixely one for rough texturing. I truly regret not saving the stages on this one.
The second one was pretty quick, I lost track of time doing it. It was pretty simple, I did save snapshots of this one tho:
It always starts with a vague idea:
Start the background to get a hold of some concept first
Change the character's pose to make it more menacing
Added a middle-ground
More detailing on the character and some lighting/environment effects
More touch ups (particularly the sky)

Here's another one for this theme, I'm beginning to like this one a lot:

I really love the first one. It has an eerie calm to it. Feels very surreal. I think you could really take that one further. The second one has a lot of potential, but it's looking muddy right now, especially that sky. The sky is going to attract a lot of attention here, I think you could really snazz it up. The last one has some nice things going on, like the overall impression of heat and rage, but it feels very flat, and the anatomy of that guy's neck/shoulder is very awkward. But these three images really drip talent, you could take these a lot further. |

Like Rocco-X is saying -- the colors are absolutely amazing. I really like the first one. It's incredibly beautiful -- but at the same time intensely eerie. The pink hue to everything really does something.
I like the landscape of the second one but feel like the character is confusing. The anatomy seems a little off, and the pose a little 'frozen'. Is this making any sense? Like it seems rather static and 'posed' and I don't feel like it's menancing or furious. It feels almost like a statue. I like how the composition makes him/it/her look huge, but overall it's not working for me. Anyone else get this feeling? It might just be me.
All in all awesome work. |
