I just started drawing a week ago, heres some super horrible art.
headphones and cup from life, apple and the crazy one from head. All with artrage and no tablet(my mouse finger hurts), except for the weird one which was in The GIMP.
Any(and a lot) of suggestions would be helpful. I need the most help with drawing from imagination, as I seem to have more skill at what I like to call "copy drawing". The truth is, I like drawing from imagination a lot more, but im a lot worse at it, any tips? Don't ask for photorefs of ones drawn from life, I have no digicam.

these arn't really finished, but I have no plans to finish them, mainly because none of them are good...

uhhh....this one was done at 3 in the morning

I personally think the last one (which I assume was done in GIMP) is the best. Its a really abstract but personal style that you have and you should pursue that style in the future very good things could come of it.

yeah, I would probaly think that one is the best too. Main reason is proly cuz it took me so long. The headphones were ~hour, cup ~25 mins, one with unfinished person ~half hour, the apple ~15 mins. The last one sadly took much longer than it looks. I would say I wasted about 4 hours in it. Tonight im gonna try for a more realistic kind of thing in artrage.
I think not having a tablet is really hurting though, becuase by the end my finger hurts so much that I get lazy and don't bother fixing what I know is wrong.

The last one was actually done as sort of a parody on my name, anime, talking animals.
personally, I know all my drawings suck compared to most of the stuff I see on these forums. I just hope ill get better with time.

LOL, I can't believe I didn't think of it like that... proly cuz the images are cached on my comp and still work.

I guess its time to start the image server juggling act Rolling Eyes . I found another server to host my latest one, and its a lot better then that load of...stuff. Its still bad, but better. As for the others, they're bad enough for me to be kinda glad my image server went down.

Drawing with the mouse takes forever...this one was 4 long hours
I got lazy at the end and fudged the wood table, thats why it looks so bad.

weasel, imho if you just started drawing for the first time a week ago (with a mouse no less), you don't need much criticism other than to keep it up! the only big suggestion i have is to maybe change up the colors inside of the objects, and maybe work a lil more depth in.. they're from life? i could be wrong, but it seems like the lighting was produced by a camera flash, at least in the last one.

nope, light is from the sun. I don't have a digicam Sad . From sun in outlet, headphones, and cups pics. Im also sitting in the same chair every time Very Happy. Those 3 from life were also all done within like a foot of eachother. I think I need to get some other stuffs to draw on my desk...

Ok, I rounded up some really colorful stuff and painting in artrage till 5:30 in the morning

I think this is the best of my drawings so far, followed by the outlet and the headphones

in the upper right there was a plastic bag and a model engine. You can kinda see the engine, but they blend together more than I would like. Maybe ill fix that one day. Very Happy
