you have some good ideas in those pages...

when drawing ppl and features, I see you're using guidelines, which always helps placing them in the right spot... but you also have to understand the anatomy ( study the skull, draw it many times at different angles, and "filling in" the skull. draw the eyeballs in it... layer the eyelids on top of the eyeballs, feel how the cheek muscle pulls...) right now it feel like your just drawing eyes and nose n lips... and their proportions are a little off... the eyes aren't wrapping around the skull...

I agree about the way the eyes don't fall into proper spaces and are flat looking.

You need to develop a sense of VOLUME and SPACE.

You've learned to grid the proportions of a face but now you should learn perspective. http://www2.evansville.edu/studiochalkboard/draw.html

Take a look a the "monster" holding the "dagger". The right arm is too small and starts too low. It looks like it's coming out of the right side of the rib cage.

Copying other people's work just teaches you where to place lines and shading on a 2D surface. Forget doing copies of comic-book or TV characters until you've learned how things fill space and have volume.

I'd also forget doing "monsters". People who can do exotic images are a dime a dozen. You're getting wrapped up in the shock value of doing cool looking monsters and have neglected the basics of real drawing skills.
