There are things that can be done to polish the piece... but i like the feel of it at this point.

interesting creature-design
the image looks averall a bit flat because the light and dark parts are spread over the whole picture very even - try to work out more basic light and dark shapes dominating the scene.
here is an overpaint to demonstrate this point:
