Well its been a year since i posted here and seeing as I finally have some freetime again off of design school i thought id start posting again.
Its been way to long since ive done any sort of figure drawing, so i need some crits on the picture ive just drawn before i go and spend time working on it in phototshop.

I know the pose is a little stiff, but thats something im already trying to improve on. (working on purely design work teh entire year hasnt help much on that )
I really respect the people in these forums opinions and cant wait to get some feed abck on how i can improve myself further _________________ Visit glitterbugs Secret Forum |

Nice pic! You may be right with his pose. Im having problems with dynamic poses too.
His right hand looks a little like he fractured his wrist...
I reall like his hair and the bracer on his left arm. Some more detail on his weapon would be cool, but okay... its a sketch after all.
Good work! Looking forward to see more of this pic. |

Rhythm of the figure... work on that... what do you want to convey with that pose, then, stand up, act it out. When you do so, pay attention to your hips, shoulders and spine. Figure out which sides up higher, what the attitude is...
eyes might be too close
for thick outline style, of course, look at Mucha's posters... the inside line weight can vary a little.
the sword part of your spear can be designed a little more... at the bottom blade you should be able to see where the pole connects to the blade, just cropping it like that seriously flattened the image...
good luck _________________ purE |
