It is nice and pretty fresh looking. All I have to say is that the hair could use a little more consideration. Hair, especially litte kid hair, tends to be a little more clumpy than in your picture. The strands stick and consequently move together a little--it's not just every strand for itself.
I also think that, given the smooth line of the hem, you wouldn't see so many dramatic wrinkles in her skirt. If the dress is twisting around her waist, it would be a little more bunched as it gets thrown against itself in the motion. On the other hand, if you want it to look like it's being blown open like a parachute, then consider removing the wrinkles.
Either way, nice job. I love the "oh my god,, a butterfly!" look on her face. It's really age-appropriate, and that's usually the hardest thing about drawing kids. Beautiful grass, too. |

it's nice, but i have to say i like the speedpaint a lot more than the final, actually! seems like that's the case a lot.. compare the rendering/shadows... the forms are more flat in the final, especially in the right arm/face, and the foot now seems like it's attached/parallel to the leg, not like it's coming towards us. also the shadow under the dress got lost.. it probably wouldn't be too hard to fix it though, since you had it all worked out in the initial sketch! fun stuff anyways..
