this was a project i did for an online competition (www.3dtotal.com) which involved creating a robot or droid that was primarily going to be used for Mining.. but the contest rules specified that it must be able to transform into 2 additional modes: attack/defend mode and flight mode.
the project took about 3 weeks to complete.. from concept to final 3D model.. (working late nights.. about 4-5 hrs a night).. and it was done using Maya, Photoshop and Deep Paint 3D/Deep UV..
the following link will show some of the stages i went through while creating the Nebulon CG-04 mining droid.. they are basically an overivew and NOT a tutorial.. if i get time-- i may create a tutorial which outlines some of the stages, but for now-- this is just an overview.. thanks for viewing it!
