Good stuff. I like that you keep expanding your range. One thing I've noticed though--you tend to place the emphasis on arrangement, and they are nice arrangements, but I sometimes feel like the melody side is a little empty. But maybe it's a stylistic choice, since not all music require a defined melody. I would love to hear a few tracks from you that has the melody as the main emphasis though--even if it's just a stripped down string quartet or a piano solo. I think what I mean is, I really dig your skills, but I'm dying to hear your more intimate emotions--without the production polish and the complex arrangements. kinda like, I've seen the Ravel in you--now let's see your Debussy side. |
