Highly evocative and effective.
Only weakness to my eyes is a minor point: the seated person is not drawn or lit quite right. In something like this though, which is not so common at Sijun, I would say those concerns are at an all time low.
i think the only reason I bring it up is because it looks like you've gone for a naturalistic kind of rendering of the figure, which only draws attention to its shortcomings. It could have been handled more graphically, and stylisticly, so as to avoid irrelevant concerns of anatomy and lighting.
For me this really does mean 'thought', you've done a great job IMHO.
EDIT: must confess, first time i looked I didn't see a figure in the shapes above the sitting guy. When the shapes were 'meaningless' and vague, not depicting anything, the 'thought' shapes worked for me. Now I see a figure and the vague ambiguous shape represents a person, I get less out of it. Harsh. Sorry. |

Capt. Fred>> I failed to see any figure either. After I read your post I checked the picture again and there was a human figure or some kind of 'ghost'. But it is too blurry to be obvious at the first sight. I like the texture in this pic though. |
