Hey again guys. Smile

I thought I could showcase some of my traditional works since I rarely post anything of that stuff.
Oil is what I enjoy the most and what I frequent the most too actually.

1st painting, from memory.

These 3 paintings is from life and from the surroundings around me school.

Wc painting and I know the anatomy isn't that great but I told one of the guys in my school that it isn't that easy to change it once the wc's is applied, not a good excuse I know hehe. This wc is really big and it's 2 metres wide and 1.20 metres high mostly an experiment to see if it was possible to paint large with wc.

Drypoint work on a copperplate, not easy to change I promise.
This one was made from ref.

Some random drawings and sketches, I guess you can see that the feet is from life.

hope you guys like and that the post wasn't too big.
Feel free to c&c this if you have some ideas how I could have made it better.

thanks in advance. Smile

I love your oil paintings, everything else is good too, but i like the oil the best.

I havent tried oil yet, i guess cause i have heard it is bad for fuems, and can harm you.

many thanks here guys, are they that good? Embarassed

I can really recommend for you guys to paint with oils, it is very difficult but if you stay with it there's lot of thing that can be made with that media, still I am only at the beginning.

thanks again everyone. Smile

Matthew, these oils are totally kick ass! Really nice, impressionist style, they look original and fresh. I've tried oils, they're damn hard. It's so cool to see what you've accomplished with traditional, maybe you spent more time thinking these (mixing colors and such) 'cause they're better than some of your maybe 'too speedy' speedpaints, I dunno if it's just the feel of traditional that makes that boost to the sketchy look. Anyways, excellent job.

Keep up, and post more of these works!! =)

Many thanks guys you are very kind. Smile

Mikko, yea I might be experimenting too much with digital works but it's much cheaper than oils so I like to fool around with the pixels and then see if I can apply some of it in me oil-painting. A good thing when painting with oils is to do the color wheel for every painting, gives much more control.

Some more stuff but with different tecnique. The caesar oil sketch beneath was the first sketch I did of my caesar series, made it with some leftover oils I had in my drawer so no fancy stuff but I did to have some kind of underlaying sketch from which where I can overpaint.
Have been planning in digital for now cause I am not sure how to take it further at the moment.

thanks again everyone your feedback is very much appreciated.
ok back to being sneezy and cold an feverish, sniff hehe.

Hello Matthew :)
The scketches from life are just great! Oil is really Your medium.
I've noticed that the more I practice the natural media the better it goes in digital, more understanding. So, you prove my guess :)
Hey, btw thanks for inspiration! :)
Lucky painting to you.

ax--hv, hey thank you there Smile, u know u are really inspiring me everytime you are posting in the speedy, thanks for keep giving me feedback. Smile
You are right about the oils, something that makes me feel more comfortable with that medium. I keep screwing it up in my digital works but maybe I need to work on those pics a little bit more instead of posting 10 minutes sketches hehe.

ok back to caughing and sneezing, thanks again for all the feedback.
