at 4 hours it's not really a spedpainting. I couldn't quite get the skull shape how I wanted it from that angle.

done after watching star trek nemesis on tv. this film is worth seeing exclusively for the scene in which two spaceships crash into each other, it's one hell of scene.

I'm just now noticing it's got that retro illustration thing going on with the soft front light and the white light round the edge. Makes it look a bit dated/cheap!

Great work. I like it! I think the skull shape is quite perfect. Especially the texture adds a realistic touch.
Yeah, I remeber that scene, it's definately worth seeing!

Hey Fred, looking great. Really love your treatement of the forehead, and the light across the top of the scalp. Also, your background, and those colors next to the tan face of the alien work really nicely. I think it might be worth putting some time into building up some slight value variation in the figure's shadowed area. Right now everything fades to black, and its not really helping the overal impact of the painting because the shadow doesn't form an especially interesting or dynamic shape. The area also draws attention to the gun, which is one of the weaker areas imo. Anyways, its still a great image, those are just a few nitpicks.
