Hey, I've been looking all over for the easiest access to the largest pallet in photoshop. What are the most efficient set-ups/short cuts for accessing the color that you need in the shortest time possible? Is there a shortcut that brings up the color wheel or something?
I've been looking all over but have yet to find a better way than clicking on the color box and selecting the color and clicking close.

Thanks in advance.

I have learned to basically get the colors I need before I start coloring in. Just pick a few colors you need and then just make paint dabs on the side of the image. And then you can quickly use the custom color picker tool to pick one of those colors. I hope that helps, if there is a faster way to do this I would like to hear it.

i usually just hit F6 to bring up the color pallette, and i have that pallette set to HSB colors instead of RGB. then i pick some colors and paint samples of them on the canvas, which i'll remove later.
using photoshop efficiently all comes down to knowing the shortcuts. try F5 to F9 for instance.
it all depends on what you're accustomed to though.

Use the Swatches palette. Just add colors as you go along (clicking the new button instantly adds whatever color you have selected as a swatch) to keep your painting (-ing verb, not noun) organized.

You can even save swatches and load them later, instead of writing down RGB values in a notepad file. Very Happy
